An update from Gabriele
It's November. Lockdown 2.0 has commenced and the sun has gone on sabbatical. It may be hard to see the positives but hear us out...
Along with most businesses, Gabriele is bracing for a challenging winter. Our team have been working from home since mid-March (across 4 cities and 2 countries no less) so we are familiar with the limitations that arise when you have to stay connected but distanced from your team. But this lockdown is different from the last, we may not have the sunshine to lift our spirits but we are a little more aware of its challenges and way more determined to take what we’ve learnt from the past 8 months and continue about our business the best we can.
This resilience is evident throughout the design sector. In fact, one great thing to emerge from this year is a renewed sense of innovation within our industry. It was inspiring to see so many of our clients quickly adapt to the challenging times and weather the storm through admirable amounts of resourcefulness and tenacity. Many of our candidates also found ways to transform their talents and we take great pride knowing and working with such a brilliant pool of individuals.
Of course, it hasn’t been an easy transition for all within design, there has been much misfortune but also many positives and we are finally seeing an encouraging increase in the demand for talent. As more businesses diversify their digital capabilities and Christmas campaigns gain momentum, as does the need for more permanent employees; the demand for freelancers also continues to remain high - specifically in sectors such as e-commerce, digital marketing and tech.
We have no doubt that the next few months will continue to challenge us, but Gabriele we're determined to support our network the best we can.
Our team have reached out personally to many of our clients and candidates and will continue to do so over the coming months. We hope to find out if there is anything we can do to support you - whether you’re looking for a new role, growing your team or simply looking for guidance - we’d be more than happy to chat through your needs.
Please continue to stay safe and well until we meet again.
